Marsha Lynn Dishman Warren, 67, returned to her heavenly home on December 19, 2018, after a valiant battle with cancer. She died peacefully surrounded by her loving family. Marsha was born to the late Thomas and Hazel Dishman in Mooresville, NC on April 30, 1951. She attended North Carolina State University and graduated from the Bauder Fashion School in Atlanta. Marsha worked for The Greers bridal shop in Atlanta before moving to the Cashiers-Highlands area in the 1970s. She married the love of her life, John Warren, in 1979. Marsha was very involved in the community, starting the first Mothers' Morning Out program at the Cashiers United Methodist Church and serving as vice president of the family's landscaping and furniture business, Natural Landscapes and Woodcraft. She was a selfless and sophisticated lady, steadfastly devoted to her faith, family and friends. Marsha is survived by her husband of 39 years, John; her son Mark Warren; her daughter Melissa Hudson (Andrew); her grandchildren Warren Hudson and William Hudson; her sister Harriet Clark (Frank); her sister Eileen Harrington (A.B.); her niece Elizabeth Smith (Adam); her niece Caroline Zito (PJ); her niece Sarah Harrington; her nephew John Harrington (Jany) and six great-nieces and great-nephews. A reception to celebrate the life of Marsha will be held at The Church of the Good Shepherd in Cashiers, NC on Saturday, December 22, from 4pm to 6pm. A private memorial service will be held for the family at a later date. The family thanks Four Seasons for their compassionate Hospice care.
